I like to to cultivate self-love and appreciation in my daily life through ritual – ritual for the self as a way to honour one’s self. When I feel I am living in my bliss, it is usually because I’m doing activities and rituals that keep me in alignment with my truth and feed my spirit.
Some of my daily rituals that honour and appreciate my being:
Scent Nurturing: I choose an essential oil scent or blend each morning to wear as I work in the spa to feed my soul and support me throughout the day.
Shower Ritual: I shower morning and evening. I find water very nourishing and cleansing. My morning shower awakens me and my evening shower cleanses and clears my day, so I can go to bed renewed.
Morning Ritual: I like to start my day with a gratitude prayer and a self-love affirmation – “I am love, I am lovable, I am loving”. Being mindful of what we focus on in ourselves can be powerful medicine. I keep in mind the saying “where attention goes energy flows” and by focussing on embodying and being love, I am better able to manifest a loving reality in every moment.
Evening Ritual: I always read something that warms my heart before sleeping, which helps me fall asleep with positive thoughts.
