loving-mantrasI like to to cultivate self-love and appreciation in my daily life through ritual – ritual for the self as a way to honour one’s self. When I feel I am living in my bliss, it is usually because I’m doing activities and rituals that keep me in alignment with my truth and feed my spirit.

Some of my daily rituals that honour and appreciate my being:

Scent Nurturing: I choose an essential oil scent or blend each morning to wear as I work in the spa to feed my soul and support me throughout the day.

Shower Ritual: I shower morning and evening. I find water very nourishing and cleansing. My morning shower awakens me and my evening shower cleanses and clears my day, so I can go to bed renewed.

Morning Ritual: I like to start my day with a gratitude prayer and a self-love affirmation – “I am love, I am lovable, I am loving”. Being mindful of what we focus on in ourselves can be powerful medicine. I keep in mind the saying “where attention goes energy flows” and by focussing on embodying and being love, I am better able to manifest a loving reality in every moment.

Evening Ritual: I always read something that warms my heart before sleeping, which helps me fall asleep with positive thoughts.

I discovered the link below and was fascinated at how I could simply help my body function better and detoxify naturally without any cost just by taking 10 to 15 mins a day to sit outside barefoot and connect to Mother Earth.

In the past, we were more connected to the earth, so we naturally spent a lot of time with the earth energy. Now since most of us are inside, especially during the winter, we can feel drained and achy from not having this connection. Simply spending time with your barefeet on the earth can have a huge impact.

I tried this 3 times last week – I wrapped myself in a blanket, sat on a chair with my feet planted in the grass – nice, damp grass – and sipped a cup of tea. My feet felt a bit chilled, but wrapped up in a blanket and sipping hot tea made it enjoyable. I actually noticed my energy that day seemed higher. I highly recommend trying the Indian Head Massage after a stressful day or week.
